A sales representative of Voltic Ghana Limited has been jailed five years by the Koforidua Circuit Cour ‘A’ for stealing a total amount of Ghc89, 592.00 belonging to the Company.
The Convict Emmanuel Yaw Korang, 31, was convicted five years each on all 15 counts of stealing but the sentence are to run concurrently.
The facts of the case presented in Court by Cyril Boateng Keteku, assistant State Attorney are that during the month of July 2017, the Koforidua area manager of Voltic Ghana Limited, Adaardare Atogra Oscar detected some financial infractions in the sales invoices submitted by the convict hence initiated an audit into his sales.
The Prosecutor explained that a preliminary audit conducted on the sales accounts of the convict between June and July 2017 established many instances of embezzlement totalling Ghc89, 592.00 which the convict couldn’t account for when subjected to strict accounting prove.
The case was reported to the Police leading to his arrest and charged before the Court.
