Cape Coast(C/R), Oct 16, GNA- Mr Joseph Butler, a Ghanaian resident in New Jersey in the United States, on Wednesday donated table tennis equipment worth five million cedis to the 'Cape Loopers' Table Tennis Club at a ceremony at Cape Coast.
The equipment including 100 tennis balls and three tennis boards were received by Mr Ato Sackey, coach of the club. Making the presentation, Mr Joseph Butler, who is also a member of Westfield Table Tennis club in New Jersey, said the donation was his personal contribution towards upliftment of the game in the Cape Coast Municipality.
Mr Sackey thanked Mr Butler for his gesture and hoped other Ghanaians in New Jersey would emulate him. He regretted that the promotion of the sport in the Cape Coast Municipality, was not being given the needed attention and appealed to the municipal assembly and the Sports Council to assist the Club to promote the game. in the municipality.
