Member of Parliament [MP] for Subin Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Eugene Boakye Antwi has said this government under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo cannot fulfill every promise made during the 2016 election campaign.
He noted it is the wish of the government to accomplish every promise made during the 2016 election campaign to better the Ghanaian economy and as well make life comfortable for citizens, yet it cannot be realized due to the monetary challenges facing the country.
“We cannot fulfill every promise made to Ghanaians because the country doesn’t have money to that extent,” the deputy Works and Housing Minister lamented.
In an interview on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ political discussion programme, the Subin MP confessed Ghanaians believed the[NPP] to make Ghana better, as such the reason behind the mandate given them to lead the state for the next four[4] years.
"But we will provide them with evidence based prove at the end of our four years in government,” he said.
According to him this is the reason why they have kept silent on agitations against them by members of the previous government.
“I don’t know how differently they [NDC members] would have performed if they were in government,” he added.
