New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central Honourable Kennedy Agyapong has launched a scathing attack on Anas Armeyaw Anas over his investigative exposé on corruption in football administration.
Known for his use of offensive language on, Ken Agyapong described the ace investigative journalist as a "a foolish boy" during an interview on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen on Monday.
Cautioned by the host to check his remarks, Ken Agyapong refused to retract and kept insisting “He is a fool, Yes, I am saying he is foolish boy.”
In Ken Agyapong's opinion, the line of investigation by Anas Armeyaw Anas is blackmail, not journalism and he is surprised people are hailing the award-winning journalist.
“I will expose him, let him go ahead and show the video, I will also expose his houses at Dzorwulu and his lands at Trade Fair that he is litigating over. Where did he get money to buy them? I will expose Anas because he is not clean. I will put my life on the line against Anas,” he stated.
Ken Agyapong added that Anas was trapping people to destroy them.
“He destroys people’s integrity to enrich himself. Let him show the video and I will expose who the real eye of the tiger is,” he said.
According to the Assin Central MP, Anas took 400,000 dollars to Morrocco to meet Nyantakyi and managed to trap him with 65,000 dollars of the amount.
“First of all, what how they set up Nyantakyi. First, they went to Morocco and according to sources, they spent about $400,000 of which Nyantakyi got $65,000 – all in an attempt to sabotage him [Nyantakyi],” he said.
He revealed that the Tiger Eye team had wanted to employ a similar tactic against Anthony Karbo, a deputy minister in the Akufo-Addo government by luring him to Morrocco but failed.
