Sekondi Hasaacas have filed a protest against Samartex 1996 FC who allegedly tried to influence the outcome of their matchday six, Division One League game against them.
Samartex 1996 FC won the game 2-1 at the Essipong but Sekondi Hasaacas claim their captain, Thomas Aboagye was bribed with GH?4,000 before the game hence their protest.
Addressing the press on the issue, IMC member, Paa Kwesi Aboa said that they have sent a petition to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to sanction Samartex 1996 FC for bribing their captain to change the outcome of the match.
“We have invited you here this afternoon to brief you on a petition we have sent to the Ghana Football Association to mete out the necessary sanctions against Samartex 1996 FC, for paying GH?4,000 to our captain, Thomas Aboagye and his team mates, to induce them to influence the outcome of last Wednesday’s Division One League match” Paa Kwesi told the media.xxxxxxxxxxxx
