On-loan Trabzonspor striker Caleb Ekuban has earned a maiden Ghana call-up for the final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya in Accra.
The Italian-born has been impressive in the Turkish Super Lig since moving from Leeds United and included in the 24-man announced on Monday by head coach Kwesi Appiah.
Ekuban, 24, has scored six goals in all competitions and made 14 appearances in the league.
Head coach Kwasi Appiah wants to give him an opportunity to audition for a spot in the team ahead of this year's Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Ekuban, who qualifies to represent Italy, announced his decision to play for Ghana in the summer of 2017 after completing his switch from Chievo Verona to Leeds United.
In April last year, he met Appiah in London where they held discussions about his international future.
