'Corrupt' Akufo-Addo has failed – Dela Edem

Communication Team member of the National Democratic Congress [NDC], Dela Edem has accused President Akufo-Addo and his government of being the worst ever since the days of the first President of the country, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

According to him, the first lady of the republic, Her Ladyship Rebecca Akufo-Addo is even performing better than her husband in terms of governance, because most of his promises are hanging by thread unattended to.

Making reference to the 8% increase in water tariff and 11.17% increase in electricity tariff, Dela Edem bitterly lamented that the propaganda means used by the current government in their opposition days have now been realized, therefore Ghanaians must be careful they[NPP members] don’t use the same means to outwit them for votes again.

He continued that members of the current government during their opposition days tagged the previous government as wicked for making water and electricity bills escalate than rent bills, but what do we see in their time.

“I am very surprised that water and electricity bills have been increased under President Akufo-Addo, the same man who together with his party members made the most noise under the previous government that rent allowances are cheaper than water and electricity bills making life unbearable for citizens, yet they have not been able to fulfill the act they spoke against,” he said.

Speaking on UTV’s late news discussion segment, Dela Edem named President Akufo-Addo’s style of corruption as very beautiful and professional.

“President Akufo-Addo’s style of corruption is very beautiful and professional that it comes in dollars and not cedis,” he bitterly lamented.
