French-born Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah has picked Lille ahead of Olympique Marseille in Ligue 1.
The 27-year old, whose side lost to Lille over the weekend after humiliating Olympique Marseille at the Stade Velodrome revealed the former were a better opposition.
"We failed to show the same face to Marseille, to show the same things. This Lille team has better arguments to put us in difficulty Marseille," has he told Ouest France.
"Faced it runs fast, it keeps the ball, it's tough and it takes depth. It's complicated to play as a block. They also have arguments in the middle. It's a fairly complete team.
"Lille is the most balanced team, which has the most strength everywhere. It has more attacking arguments than Marseille."
Marseille are currently second on the league table with Lille in fourth place.
