The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has once again accused the Electoral Commission of engaging in deceit following an IPAC meeting held on Thursday.
The Electoral Commission, its Eminent Advisory Committee and the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) met over the Commission's decision to compile a new voters' register.
The EC subsequently issued a communique announcing the decisions that were made after the meeting.
However, reacting to this statement on Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, the National Communications Officer of the party, Sammy Gyamfi, questioned why the EC issued a communique when the eminent committee had already done that.
He further punched holes in the statement describing it as mischievous.
“...the comments in their press statement are not factual; for mischief purposes, you try to get legitimacy from what transpired when you had already described the meeting as cosmetic,” he said.
