The Bono Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye DC, has descended heavily on former President John Dramani Mahama for promising to fix non-existence broken educational system in the country if voted back to power in 2020.

The former President made this pledge when he visited Bodi Constituency of the Western North Region to round up his three days tour of the region.

But in a statement issued and signed by the NPP's controversial Chairman, Abronye DC warned Ghanaians against giving former President John Mahama any attention.

Abronye DC setting the records straight stated the former President has no credibility to talk about education because it was under his regime that Ghana experienced the worst educational system, adding, "but it is unfortunate he is today behaving as if he cares about the educational system".

"Under the presidency of John Mahama, WASSCE students were learning in darkness . . . Under the presidency of John Mahama Senior Secondary Schools threatened to shut down because he was not paying their feeding grants . . ”

“Flowing from the above, it is clear that John Mahama does not care about the education of Ghanaians and that he is only suffering from the loose talk syndrome,” a portion of the statement read.

RE: I WILL FIX BROKEN EDUCATION SYSTEM - JOHN MAHAMA

I have read a news article on Ghanaweb.com with great astonishment.

In the said news article, Former President John Dramani Mahama was speaking at separate rallies at Ahebenso, Afere and Kwasikrom all in the Bodi Constituency of the Western North Region to round up his three days tour of the region, where he lauded the free Senior High School policy but accused the NPP government of not implementing it properly and thereby promised to review and fix all the broken system when voted into office in 2020.

He also added that, he will fix all other problems pertaining to the education sector when voted for.

After reading the news article, I am convinced that, John Mahama still has no respect for Ghanaians and that he thinks Ghanaians have short memories like he has always thought.

Setting the records straight, under the presidency of John Mahama, Ghana experiences the works of educational management but it is unfortunate he is today behaving as if he cares about the educational system.

1. Under the presidency of John Mahama, WASSCE students were learning in darkness.

2. Under the presidency of John Mahama Senior Secondary Schools threatened to shut down because he was not paying their feeding grants.

3. Under John Mahama, teachers worked for three months and only got paid for one month. He introduced the three months salary pay policy.

4. Under the presidency of John Mahama, striking of teachers due to unpaid arrears was unprecedented.

5. Under the presidency of John Mahama, he cancelled the teacher training allowances and further increased the school fees of teacher trainees. He did this to frustrate newly trained teachers.

6. Under the presidency of John Mahama, schools in the north were closed down because of lack of feeding grants.

Flowing from the above, it is clear that John Mahama does not care about the education of Ghanaians and that he is only suffering from the loose talk syndrome.
