Four persons believed to be from the same family have been trapped to death in a galamsey pit at Salema near Ainyinase in the Ellembele District of the Western Region.
An eye witness tells Connect FM’s OMANBAPA morning show host Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson that the incident happened late Monday, around 4pm.
The pit in which they were mining is said to have caved in.
The victims, 2 males and 2 females, are between the ages 30 and 34, reports say.
The bodies have since been deposited at the Axim Government Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
