Stand-in Kotoko coach Frimpong Manso so says he cannot be judged as a failure after taking charge of the team for four games without a win.

Last Sunday, the Porcupines reached a record low with a winless run of eight straight league games. Their last victory was a labored 1-0 scoreline against league leaders WAFA SC.

Manso, a former defender for Kotoko, was briefly brought on board to stabilize the team left for rookie coach Godwin Ablordey after management decided to dispense with the services of Dzravko Logarusic over the team’s style of play despite grinding results.

But things never changed and Manso insists he inherited a huge challenge.

“When I came the problem was there but I tried so you can’t use just four, five matches to judge me as a failure and will just not accept it,” he said.

Frimpong Manso has now been reassigned to assist English man Steve Polack who is taking charge of the team on an initial half-season deal.

Asante Kotoko finished the first half of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League at 7th place with 21 points.
