English Championship side Birmingham City have appointed Harry Redknapp as their new manager.
The former West Ham and Tottenham manager will replace Gianfranco Zola, who departed the role on Monday following the club’s 2-0 defeat to fellow Championship strugglers Burton Albion at home.
The Blues are in danger of losing their Championship status as they occupy 20th position on the standings, three points adrift of safety with three games to finish.
"We are delighted to announce the appointment of Harry Redknapp as our new manager." the club's official statement reads.
21-year-old Ghanaian winger Koby Arthur is expected to play a key role under Redknapp in their relegation fight.
