Head coach of Accra Hearts of Frank Nuttal Elliot has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the team, after their 2-1 win over Wa All Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium, last Sunday.

He said at a press conference that, he was delighted with the level of performance of the players, adding that the players were gradually adapting to his style of play.

“It was exactly the kind of performance everybody is expecting from the players, this is what I have asked from them in the many meetings, we have had over the last few days and I’m really pleased with the work rate.

“The application, the focus and the mental strength of the players were excellent, but there should be consistency, we have to do that in every game,” the coach stated.

Coach Nuttal said, “I think it was a massive progress from the previous two games, today we did more of the good things we did in those games and with a better application, so I would say it’s an improvement.

“The players are gradually adapting to my style and we have seen the difference in the course of the last three games. I have been observing, doing analysis of the games and feedback to the players and I think they have improved and most people will agree with that.

“That’s what we all want, so we have to keep improving week after week and be consistent in our games, but I cannot promise consistency, because we are humans and in football sometimes things work for you, sometimes they don’t that’s the beauty of football.” He noted.

The coach said, “I have to give the credit to the players for the intensity in which they played today, they focused and stuck to the game plan. It’s difficult to play at that intensity and hope they recover well tomorrow.

“I’m going to assess the game and then we take it from there.” He said.
