Renowned media personality, Prince Kwame Tutu has expressed shock at the alleged attempts to assassinated investigative journalist Manasseh Azure over his recent militia expose.

Commenting on the issue in a Facebook post, the media personality said he was shocked to have gathered that the journalist had to be flown out of town due to the threats of death on his life.

Mr. Tutu in his post recounted how Manasseh Azure exposed former President Mahama’s ford saga without him being threatened.

But Mr. Tutu says it is unfortunate for the journalist to be threatened.

“We all saw it. Your people disputed it. Said it was a known thing. So why the attempt to murder him? Never knew my colleague had been flown out of town. This is a big shame, Mr. Akufo-Addo.

I can say Manasseh’s through independent benefited you as a candidate then and your party.”

He said: “Well, you and your people may want to kill everyone who speaks or bring to public bad things in your government. That’s fine. But that won’t let the NPP stay in power forever.”

How did we get here under Akufo-Addo?

The first time I got so scared, terribly scared was that afternoon, 12 pm news bulletin when an investigative piece was aired on Joy Fm news. Manasseh Azure had exposed John Mahama on the Kanazue Ford gift.

I was driving home from work. I asked WHAT? I remember Ghana was close to it’s 2016 general elections and Mr. President had lost her Mum too.

I said to myself this isn’t fair. Manasseh and Joy Fm are wicked. Couldn’t they wait for a week or two?

I got scared for my colleague. I prayed fervently for many days for Manasseh. As a Christian, I dipped him into the blood of Jesus.

I must say I felt Mr. Mahama or the NDC might eliminate him; kill him.

Months after, I thanked God and said ‘this guy is courageous. Thanks to President Mahama for not touching Manasseh despite the indescribable ‘humiliation’ that report brought on him.

Militia documentary.

We all saw it. Your people disputed it. Said it was a known thing. So why the attempt to murder him?

Never knew my colleague had been flown out of town. This is a big shame, Mr. Akufo-Addo.

I can say Manasseh’s through independent benefited you as a candidate then and your party.

Well, you and your people may want to kill everyone who speaks or bring to public bad things in your government. That’s fine. But that won’t let the NPP stay in power forever.

How, how did you get here under a lawyer and so-called champions of democracy?
