Ex-Kotoko star Michael Osei claims he was more of a dangerous player than his former teammate Charles Taylor.

A session of Ghanaians attributed Kotoko’s defeat to Hearts of Oak in the 2004 CAF Confederations Cup final to then coach Hans-Dieter Smith lack of game management with the substitution of Kotoko’s best performers on the field, Charles Taylor.

But according to him, he was more dangerous than teammate Charles Taylor.

He said that, the then head coach of Hearts, Jones Attuquayefio was always excited when he sees him been substituted off the pitch in a game between the two clubs.

“Don Bortey always claim that he tormented Kotoko likewise I did to the Phobians. Hearts feared my presence in games together with Stephen Oduro”

“I have heard people saying that our coach at the time, Hans-Dieter Schmidt decision to change Taylor affected Kotoko but the truth is that Attuquayefio was always happy when I am been substituted” he told Don Summer of Angel FM.

“In fact I was a threat to Jones Attuquayefio. To be honest, Hearts of Oak wouldn’t have won the trophy if I had finished playing the game (Confederations Cup). I knew we were going to lose the game when he decided to take me off the pitch” he concluded.
