In a bid to ensure safe riding of Motorcycles to avoid accidents, Japan Motors Trading Company Limited (JMTC) sole distributors of Yamaha motorcycles and its power products has once again held its annual Ghana Yamaha Riding Academy (GYRA)
Held in Takoradi at the Takoradi Airforce base, the training garthered fleet customers of the company with participants drawn mainly from the Ghana Rubber Estates.
Facilitators including Mr. Thomas Ayagame and Mr. Perry Nyantakyi from Japan Motors were on hand to take the riders through the proper use of Yamaha Motorcycles.
In an interview, Mrs. Mabel Offei, Sales Manager-Yamaha, JMTC emphasized that the GYRA is an international program structured annually by Japan Motors to give Yamaha riders hands-on training on the proper use and maintenance of Yamaha Motorcycles by competent trainers and technicians.
“This year we targeted our fleet customers because as a company we are not only concerned about selling our motorcycles to customers but their safety is our topmost concern. Door to door training for customers is what we have started because ‘customer safety’ is Yamaha’s priority.
She hoped the customer training scheme adopted by the company would serve as a refresher course for participants’ skills in the principle of safe motorcycle riding as well as equipping them with the basics of Yamaha motorcycle maintenance.
Mrs. Offei seized the occasion to urge the public to contact JMTC for quality Yamaha Motorcycle and genuine spare parts/Products for safe riding.
Most of the participants who shared their view were upbeat that the training was timely for its safety awareness. They were also optimistic the technical features of the training including the proper use of the brakes, clutch, accelerator and engine was a cost saver for their company’s operations as such called on JMTC to organize more of such trainings.
