The Acting General Secretary for the governing New Patriotic Party has stated that the ongoing dialogue on the reinstatement of the two suspended top notch of the party could be considered.
Mr. Boadu stated that it is highly possible for the reinstatement proposal will be discussed at the party’s next National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
He added that the matter of reinstatement of Mr. Afoko and Kwabena Agyei has never been discussed at the party’s NEC meetings but as a result of rising calls for the reinstatement of the duo, the party may be forced to fix it on their agenda for the next meeting.
Speaking to JoyNews TV, Mr. Boadu said “It is possible it might come up. When we meet as National Executives Committee or National Council these issues can be discussed”, he added.
Touching on how soon they will be reinstated Mr. Boadu noted that ‘’ “they were given an indefinite suspension by the Disciplinary Committee which was endorsed and ratified by the National Executive and National Council so they have the authority to lift it”
Mr. Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong were suspended by the National Executive Committee of the party on accusations working against the interest of the party.
