Ghanaian defender John Boye has inspired French Ligue 2 side FC Metz to book a qualification ticket to the French topflight on Friday.
An opening goal from Habib Diallo and a 90th minute winner from Opa Nguette led Metz to victory at Red Star after Ismael Camara equalised for the hosts in the 45th minute.
The victory means that Metz can't be caught by third-place Troyes, and the club earn promotion in one of the two automatic spots in Ligue 2.
Boye has played an integral role in the fortunes of his side this season.
He will now shift his attention to helping Ghana win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which begins in June.
