KABA made me popular – Allotey Jacobs
The Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has attributed his fame to the hard work of late Asempa FM broadcaster, Kwadwo Asare Baffuor Acheampong, popularly known as KABA.
Bernard Allotey Jacobs said his name is all over Ghana today because the late presenter gave him the platform.
The host of popular late afternoon political talk show, Ekosi Sen, on Asempa FM died Saturday morning at the Korle Bu Teaching after a short illness.
He survived by his wife, Valentina Ofori Afriyie and a seven-month-old baby.
KABA has been eulogized by politicians – from both the NDC and the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) — veteran journalists, and dignitaries for his professionalism, and journalistic excellence.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem Tuesday, Allotey Jacobs eulogized the late broadcaster describing him as a unique character.
“KABA will never show his political colour; he demonstrated professionalism and was accepted by both NDC and NPP” he added.
The teary NDC Central Regional Chairman said he finds solace in the fact that KABA as a devoted Christian is in a good place.
Allotey Jacobs called on other journalists to emulate his example to build a formidable front.
“I have missed him already; I wished him safe journey and I know when he gets to the gate to heaven, God will open the door for him” he stated.
