US Sassuolo forward, Kevin-Prince Boateng has been ruled out of Sunday's Italian Serie A clash against Udinese through injury.
The Ghana international suffered a muscular injury in their 2-1 loss against Parma and was replaced by Stefano Sensi on the 60th-minute mark.
However, the 31-year-old returned to US Sassuolo training on Tuesday at the Ricci Stadium but was directed by the medical team to do a light work.
But reports from the Neroverdi camp on Thursday indicate that the former AC Milan ace has failed to recover fully from the injury and according to test report he will be out until 2019.
Boateng has scored four goals in 11 appearances for the side in the ongoing Italian Serie A campaign.
