Ghanaian giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko have received a massive boost will after it emerged they travel to Tanzania to play local champions and giants Simba in a friendly next week.
The Porcupine Warriors have been grounded by the crisis in Ghana football because of the suspension of all football activities in the country and will now get the chance to test their side abroad.
Tanzania's soccer champions Msimbazi Simba will play the Porcupine Warriors at the Simba Day concert which is held on August 08 each year.
The news officer of the club, Haji Sunday Manara, confirmed the game will be played on August 08.
The announcement was made by the Tanzanian side at a press conference held at the Serena Hotel in Dar es Salaam.
Manara said their squad will face the West African giants, believing it will be a good test for their team that is now camping in Turkey for their pre-season.
Manara revealed that Kotoko were named as the last minute replacement for Kenyan sides Gor Mahia FC and AFC Leopards.
The Simba squad will return to Tanzania from their training camp in Turkey on the 4 August to prepare for the Kotoko clash.
In the Premier League position, Kotoko has played 15 matches in 4th position while collecting 24 points with the first-grade Ashanti Gold with 27 matches as well.
