Miami FC midfielder, Kwadwo Poku, says it always remains an honour to be called up into the senior national team and has expressed his delight after being handed call up ahead of Ghana’s upcoming friendlies against Mexico and USA.
With few players dropping out of the Black Stars squad for the friendlies which is taking place outside the FIFA dates for international matches, some new players are expected to join the team in the USA where the friendlies will be played.
According to the 25-year-old, he is ready to feature for the Black Stars and looking forward to joining the team, but still awaits a final decision from his club.
“Officials of the Ghana Football Association confirmed my call up for upcoming games today, but am still awaiting the final decision from my club.
“I am ready to feature for the Black Stars anytime and any day, am really forward to join the team,” Poku told Angel FM.
The Black Stars are expected to continue training today at the Accra Sports Stadium as they prepare for the two friendlies slated for 28 June and July 1, 2017.
