The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is addressing the media on unfortunate events that happened at the Bawaleshie polling center Thursday morning.
Voting was disrupted after some security personnel fired shots at some NDC members and assaulted Ningo Prampram MP, Sam George during voting to elect an MP for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
Six persons were injured in the process and chaos was erupted shortly after the incident.
While injured persons are receiving treatment, the NDC Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo announced the NDC's withdrawal from the race for security reasons.
The presser comes after an earlier one held by the National Democratic Congress to express their displeasure over the recent happenings.
