The minority in parliament has justified boycotting the swearing in of newly elected Ayawaso West-Wuogon Member of Parliament (MP) insisting it was the least they could do since the circumstance culminating in her becoming one of them deserves the worst response ever, MyNewsGh.com reports

Raymond Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaboso constituency in the Western Region speaking on Kumas-based Pure Morning Drive with Kwame Adinkra, explained that, the NDC will never be part of any illegality as the MP even failed to condemn the violence that erupted in her constituency.

He further remarked that, the high rate of insecurity and illegalities under Akufo-Addo’s regime is one that needs to be condemned outrightly maintaining the stance of the minority against the widow of the late Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko.

“We have no regrets to whatever response we have given to this issue. As far as the minority is concerned, we have given the best response to the matter by staging a walkout while she was being sworn into office”, he disclosed.

According to him, the action of the minority was in solidarity with the victims of the January 31, 2019 by-elections after being shot by national security operatives which has left them in the state they find themselves.

“These were people who committed no crime and government took arms and gave to security operatives who shot and injured them for a Minister of National Security at the Presidency to come out and claim they were carrying his orders what response do you expect”, she asked.

The lawmaker insisted that the newly sworn in a product of bloodshed and violence reiterating they will not recognize her as a lawmaker because her hands are tainted with blood.
