Former President John Dramani Mahama has been tagged as the worst ever the country has had as far as Heads of States under the Fourth Republic is concerned.

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s communication team, Padmore Baffour Agyapong, said this whilst speaking on Net2 TV on recent comments by the Former President about cocoa farmers in Ghana.

President Mahama, speaking during an interaction with cocoa farmers and the people of Enchi in the Aowin Constituency of the Western North Region on Tuesday said he ‘felt very sad” that the ruling government, supervised by President Nana Akufo-Addo have decided to stop the supply of free fertilisers and allow the fertilisers to expire and be disposed.

“I feel very sad for our cocoa farmers”, President Mahama said, adding “we had good plans and started implementing good policies for the cocoa sector”.

Reacting to this, Mr. Baffour Agyapong chastised the NDC Flagbearer, blaming his numerous ‘defaming comments’ against the NPP on his inability to accept defeat and recover subsequently.

He’s in awe, he said, about the fact that Mr. Mahama is still complaining about any and everything, even without substantial evidence. He believes the burden of knowing he is the worst ever President to have ruled in the history of Ghana accounts for this.

“Mahama is yet to wake up to the fact that he lost. He’s resorted to complaining about everything. He has arisen again to contest in 2020. To get a chance, he has taken to defaming the ruling government in the eyes of Ghanaians”

“Maybe he is crying because after ruling, he has seen that of all Presidents Ghana has had, he has been the worse under the fourth Republic and it has become burdensome on him”, he said.

Try as he may, Mr. Baffour Agyapong noted, he could never use flaws in farming and education against the NPP, particularly because he believes the NPP has proved beyond all reasonable doubts, its interest in farmers and Education through its policies it has introduced in those sectors.

“Even if that’s the case, the NDC can never talk about schools and farming under the NPP because they might be unlucky and get beaten. It’s obvious the good things the NPP is doing for this country especially in the areas of farming and schooling, and instead of you to appreciate that, you want to cry for cocoa farmers?”

“Cocoa farmers are not unreasonable. He went to Sehiwi Wioso and his welcome was nothing to write home about and yet without learning his lessons, he won’t say something better when he returned there, touting the NPP’s achievements and pledging to do better. He keeps destroying our image, what is he coming to do when he comes?”.
