Ghana forward Majeed Waris has joined the long list of footballers paying tribute to Argentine striker Emiliano Sala, who was confirmed dead in the doomed plane that went missing on January 21st.
Emiliano Sala was on board a Piper Malibu plane with pilot David Ibbotson when the plane went missing after losing contact on the English channels.
The Argentine had signed for English Premier League side Cardiff City from Nantes for £15 million and was returning to Wales after saying his final good byes to his former club when the tragedy happened.
Following investigations and confirmation of the body found in the wreckage being the striker.
His former teammate, Majeed Waris posted a glowing tribute to Sala.
“You were loved by everyone and you will be remembered by everyone. RIP,” Waris wrote.
The pair have been phenomenal for Nantes this season before Sala left for Cardiff City.
