Lorient striker Abdul Majeed Waris will be seeking an international career revival under new Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.
The 25-year-old has found his scoring form this season for the struggling French outfit, bagging eight goals so far.
Waris was given his first shout at the international level by Kwesi Appiah but was relegated under former coach Avram Grant.
The former BK Hacken and Spartak Moscow forward is likely to be given a look-in again by the in-coming coach, who is believed to a huge admirer of the talented Ghanaian.
Schalke striker Bernard Tekpetey was picked ahead of Waris for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations but his international career could be back on the road with the appointment of coach Appiah.
