English giants Manchester United have identified Atletico Madrid star Thomas Teye Partey as a long term replacement for Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic.
Thomas Partey, who is also a target of Arsenal has popped up on the radar of the Red Devils after his brilliant display for the Rojiblancos in the UEFA Champions League last 16.
Ole Gunnar Solskjear has been impressed with the performance of the Ghanaian but with Matic's age becoming a concern to the club, the Norwegian could make a switch for Partey in the summer.
Matic has been in good form for Manchester United in recent weeks and there are talks of a contract extension.
But Solskjear is building a team for the future and sees Partey as the engine of his growing team.
Thomas Partey has been a consistent performer for Atletico Madrid this season, playing 32 games in all competition with three goals in the campaign.
