Thousands have already gathered at the Cape Coast Stadium hours before the main activities for the launch of the National Democratic Congress 2016 campaign begin.
The 16,000 capacity stadium was about half full as at 8am.
Hundreds of party members were outside the stadium while many were still arriving in buses and on foot.
It appears Cape Coast is under invasion as the Central Regional capital is burstling with massive activity.
Party supporters are restricted to the stands. Organisers want to protect the beautiful greeny turf of the magnificent stadium so no human activity would take place on the turf.
The Vice President, Mr Kwesi Bekoe Ammissah Arthur arrived Saturday ahead of today's campaign launch.
The Vice President who is going again as running mate to the President is attending service at the Church of Pentecostal in Cape Coast before the main event.
