Popular pollster, Ben Ephson believes there may arise some sought of confusion when the ‘gang of five’ which is a collation of five National Democratic Congress presidential aspirants, made up of former National Health Insurance Scheme boss Sylvester Mensah, former Trade minister Spio Garbrah, Cape Coast South MP, Kweku Ricketts Hagan, Second Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin and Goosie Tanoh decides on who to lead them as flagbearer.

The five are in alliance in a bid to present a tougher opposition to former President John Mahama who is also aspiring to be given the nod to lead the party again after losing the 2016 elections to President Akufo Addo.

Speaking to host Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa Fm, Mr. Ephson said “The problem within the ‘Gang of Five’ is who they will have to accept as the number one in case they win and who will be the running mate”.

He added: “they will all feel capable of leading, when I told Alabi, he said he I will go alone because he believes in his chances but with the five there will surely have issues when it comes to the point of selecting someone to lead”.

Mr. Ephson, however, believes Ex-President Mahama with his weight going into the flagbearer contest stands tall despite the alliance of the five.

He has advised the five to campaign on thought-provoking issues in order to draw majority support from the delegates.
