Naa Odofoley Nortey has threatened to resign from the Normalisation Committee of the Ghana FA after she discovered that plans are being hatched to remove her with Dr Kwame Baah Nuakoh lined up as her replacement.

The legal luminary uncovered on Thursday night that plans are far advanced to ditch her from the $5000 per month committee work and replace her with the astute former Asante Kotoko administrator.

This shocker comes just 24 hours after her legal profession mate on the committee Kwame Dua-Adonteng was axed by FIFA and replaced by former Bayern Munich star Sammy Kuffuor for non-performance.

With massive shake-up of the wobbly Normalisation Committee expected by FIFA in the coming days lobbying has been intense to get some of the members sacked by the world governing body.

Sources close to Odofoley reveal that she was told a key member of the ruling NPP party has been intensely lobbying for Baah Nuakoh to join the committee claiming he is far more experienced and knowledgeable than the others.

Seething with anger Odofoley told the leadership of the committee that she wants jump before she is pushed to avoid the embarrassment of being told she has not performed even though she is a highly respected lawyer.

Widespread news has it that Baah-Nuakoh will join the committee when it's reconstituted by FIFA who are said to be unhappy about the performance so far.

The swirling high-placed rumours are said to have angered her to the point she wants to completely leave the job that has brought her intense media scrutiny.

A methodical trial and appellate lawyer, Naa has immense experience in litigation having been a private practitioner for close to 14 years.

Naa also advises a wide range of clients on commercial law, real estate and property law, family and probate matters as well as clients in the construction industry and on general property acquisition.

She currently works with both local and international clients to establish their operations in Ghana and comply with the statutory governance and instrument requirements.

The Normalisation Committee has been rocked with several controversies since it started work in September last year.

Its been a spectacular turmoil for the four-member committee, who has been dogged with several controversies over the past five months.

With a deadline of March 31 looming, the country's ruling party is under mounting pressure to ensure football returns to normalcy amid fears the decision to collapse football could haunt them in the not-too-distant future.
