Ghana midfielder Obeng Regan is thrilled after winning his first trophy with Croatian Premier League side Inter Zapresic.
The talented left-footed playmaker was one of the stars in the mid-season tournament as the Zagreb-based club defeated Dinamo 1-0 in the finals.
Regan who joined Inter on loan from Serbian giants FK Cukaricki last summer is happy with the success and is hopeful it will continue when the Croatian topflight resumes this month for the second round.
“It is great to win my first trophy with Inter, I am very glad and I hope we can do more when the league starts for the second round,” Regan told footballmadeinghana.com
“Eight teams played the tournament and it was a good exercise for us to get to the finals, we have worked tirelessly and we are ready for the second half of the league”
The former WAFA and Kumasi Asante Kotoko player is expected to play a key role in the set up of manager Samir Toplak for the second phase of the league.
