Veteran Ghanaian Coach, J. E. Sarpong has disclosed that Ghanaians will not have trust in the Normalisation Committee if those caught in the Anas documentary are not made to face the full rigours of the law. According to Coach Sarpong, Ghanaians will not support the committee since they are unhappy with the way the Anas documentary has not led to the arrest of anyone as compared to what happened to FIFA.

Speaking to Esther Abankwa on Angel TV's sports show "On the Turf" over the weekend, Coach Sarpong added that he believes the Members of the Executive Committee of the defunct GFA will begin to criticise the work of the Normalisation committee and will try to put impediment on their way, but the Committee should stay focus.

"Once they begin their duties, they would criticise them, the Normalisation Committee must braise itself for opposition since it would not be easy" he said.

Coach J. E. Sarpong however added that he is optimistic the committee would carry out it's functions well because those appointed are neutral and competent as well.

Ghana has been without a functional FA since an investigative documentary exposed corrupt and match-fixing activities of top officials and referees, leading to the resignation of president Kwesi Nyantakyi and the dissolution of the Executive Committee.

According to Fifa, the Normalization Committee is to "run the GFA’s daily affairs and cooperating with the special task force, review the GFA statutes to ensure compliance with the requirements of Fifa and Caf, particularly art. 15 of the FIFA Statutes" and "organize and conduct elections of a GFA executive committee on the basis of the revised GFA statutes once the GFA statutes meet the requirements of Fifa and Caf".
