Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Anthony Osei Kwadwo Mensah has revealed that Ghana great Samuel Osei Kuffuor supported Accra Hearts of Oak during his time at King Faisal.
The former Bayern Munich superstar started his Youth Career with Fantomas Kumasi before moving on to join King Faisal. There he played for a while before securing a transfer to Europe.
Speaking to Kessben TV, Anthony Osei Kwadwo Mensah has shared that Sammy Kuffuor had a soft spot for Hearts of Oak when he was playing for the Alhaji Grusah owned club.
According to the ex-Kotoko goalkeeper, Kuffuor would have still played for the Porcupine Warriors instead of the Phobians if he had played in Ghana for a long time.
Following a move to Europe, Sammy Kuffuor got the opportunity to play for some of the top clubs and enjoyed a lot of success with Bayern Munich.
The ex-Black Stars defender is a Champions League winner, and was part of the Starlets team that won gold in 1991.
