President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has ordered that the lynched late Captain Maxwell Adams Mahama be given a full state burial.
The President also promoted the late Captain Mahama posthumously to the Rank of Major with effect from May 29, 2017.
Thus the day Major Mahama was murdered and also announced a GHC500,000.00 to support the widow and her children.
The President also announced that the board will be chaired by the Minister for Defence, Dominic Nitiwul.
He has also promised that a National Monument will be built and named after Major Maxwell Adams Mahama.
The President also says he has issued express instructions to the Interior Minister to ensure that perpetrators involved will be brought to justice.
He advised the widow to take consolation in the fact that she married a hero and that the whole country stands by her and her children.
