Thomas Teye Partey has reacted to Black Stars’ 2019 Africa Cup of Nations draw after Ghana were pooled in Group F in the tournament as he reckons it looks good for Ghana.
The four-time AFCON winners were pooled alongside Benin, Cameroon and Guinea Bissau as the competition billed to hold from June 21 to July 19, 2019, in Egypt.
The Atletico Madrid man speaking to GhanaCrusader said although his team stand a chance of progressing to the next round of the tournament from their group they have to be wary of their opponents.
He, however, admits that the AFCON 2019 matches will not be easy for the Black Stars despite finishing as group winners during the qualifying series but adequate preparations will play a key role in the team’s success.
“It looks good for Ghana. It’s a fair draw and we are looking forward to a positive campaign”, he said.
Ghana’s opening game will be against Benin before playing Cameroon and Guinea Bissau.
