Black Queens center back, Faustina Ampah was at the heart of the defense for Belarus giants, FC Minsk in the opening day, 6:0 victory over host, Olimpija Ljubljana in the 2018-19 UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Nigerian international Emueje Ogbiagbevha and Belarusian Anna Pilipenko scored two goals each; Ivorian Binta Diakite and Belarusian Lyubov Shmatko added a goal each to complete the mauling of the Slovenian side.
The result for FC Minsk is a better of last season’s 5:0 victory at the same stage of the 2017-18 UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Minsk will be taking two days off before games against Slovakian side, Slovan Bratislava and Barcelona AF of Cyprus on August 10 and 13 respectively.
FC Minsk will be looking forward to bettering their 7:4 on aggregate round of 32 stage exit to Slavia Praha last season.
