We have lost a very balanced man - Paul Afoko
The suspended National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Paul Afoko has described the late Multimedia broadcaster Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong (KABA) as someone who was very fair and balanced when It came to his job.
Recounting his first encounter with KABA, Mr. Afoko said he thought the Ekosii Sen show host was hostile to him and did not like him.
He said after his engagement with him, KABA engaged the then Communication Director of NPP Nana Akomea and the kind of questions he asked him made him concluded that KABA was not hostile but a rather a very fair and balanced person.
“My first interview with KABA, I thought he was hostile to me, he doesn’t like me. Just as we ended the interview, he also interviewed Nana Akomea and the sort of questions he asked Nana Akomea I said he wasn’t hostile. This is a balanced person, a balanced Journalist who was trying to get out the truth” he explained.
Paul Afoko was at the premises of Joy FM with Andrew Awuni to sign the book of condolence and sympathize with his employers, colleagues and some family members.
Speaking to the media after signing the Book of Condolence, Mr Afoko admonished all present that KABA’s life should be a lesson to journalists.
He advised the public not to just cry and express grief, but they should support the family he left behind.
“We those who are left behind, it is our responsibility to take care of the family he left behind” he said.
