Niger Captain, Rachid Souley Alfari, has opined that the Total U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Gabon 2017 cup final clash between Ghana and Mali would be an evenly balanced contest.

The Le Aiglonnets face off against the Black Starlets of Ghana in the highly anticipated final encounter slated for the Stade de l’Amitie in Libreville on Sunday.

The Captain admitted how painful it was losing to Ghana on penalties in the semis and rued the absence of their dangerman, Tinni Sanda Abdoul Karim.

“We have no preference for the future winner of this championship on Sunday,” Alfari told Cafonline . “The two teams in the final (Ghana and Mali) are the two best teams that will compete and I think the better team would win; but we have to wait till Sunday to know the winner.”

“Was it right or wrong to lose on penalties to Ghana? Football is like that; I think we have done a good job so far and we would have to win the third-place match on Sunday in order to finish on a good note,” Alfari explained.
