The 2nd Majority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Trobo, Moses Anim, has said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his government will deliver on all the promises made to Ghanaians ahead of last year’s presidential and parliamentary elections.

According to him, the president has demonstrated honesty and sincerity in his resolve to fulfill the promises by situating his public utterances to the contents of the manifesto.

Mr Akufo-Addo on Friday, August 25, launched the first factory to be built under the One-District, One-Factory programme in Ekumfi in the Central Region.

Similarly, he has announced that the flagship progamme of his government – the free senior high school programme – will commence in September following the parliamentary approval of the budget earmarked for the programme.

Also, while delivering an address during the NPP’s delegate’s conference in Cape Coast over the weekend, the president reiterated his commitment to fulfilling all the promises he made.

“One thing I don’t want to be noted for as President of Ghana is deceit. I will fulfill all the promises I made to Ghanaians,” the president told the gathering at Victory Park in Cape Coast after addressing the delegates at the University of Cape Coast.

Speaking in an interview with Chief Jerry Forson, host of Accra 1000.5FM’s Ghana Yensom, on Monday, August 28, Mr Anim said: “We will deliver on our promises. I haven’t seen any president who keeps reminding himself and his appointees [of] the promises they have made in the manifesto other than President Akufo-Addo.

“He talks from the manifesto, everything he says relates to the contents of the manifesto and that shows how passionate he is about fulfilling the promises.

“If he were to be a deceitful president he would not have spoken about the manifesto after he won the elections. This is an honest, truthful and God-fearing president we have.”

He added: “This is a president of records and I am so grateful and humbled that I am serving Ghana through NPP and through Nana Akufo-Addo.”
