The Management of Aduana Stars Football Club has fined striker Derrick Sasraku of GHC 3,000.00 as penalty for acts of indiscipline and misconduct which violates the Code of Conduct of the Club.

A press statement issued to the GNA Sports in Dormaa Ahenkro and signed by Mr. Albert Aryeetey Commey, the Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars said "you misconducted yourself by trading punches with your team mate (Elvis Opoku), which is against the code of conduct of the Club".

"Management based on your plea, fine you the sum of Three Thousand Ghana Cedis (Ghc3,000.00) and warn you to desist from such behaviour", the statement further said.

It would be recalled that on Saturday 10th March, 2018, during the team’s training match at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Sports Stadium in Dormaa-Ahenkro, Anokye Badu had held the shirt of Zakaria Mumuni who protested Anokye's action by hitting him with his hand as he was moving with the ball.

This drew the attention of Elvis Opoku who was in the same team/camp of Anokye Badu during that training as he begun to complain about Zakaria Mumuni's action.

Derrick Sasraku who was also at the training and in the same team/camp with Zakaria Mumuni moved to his defence but felt bitter and unhappy about the conduct of Elvis Opoku.

The two(Derrick Sasraku and Elvis Opoku) traded insults and arguments against each other and this led Derrick to attack Elvis causing him to sustain wounds and injuries.

In a related development, management has again awarded a penalty against Derrick Sasraku of an amount of GHC 500.00 for failing to report for training on an agreed date given to him by the head coach, Yusif Abubakar.

The statement asked him to report for training before Friday, 1st June 2018.

"Failure to comply with this mandate shall attract further severe sanctions", the statement added.

It indicated that he was expected "to report at the Club's Secretariat on Saturday 2nd June, 2018 to sign an undertaking to put up good behaviour".
