LIVE UPDATES: Manchester United vs Juventus

Hello and welcome to our coverage of the match between struggling Manchester United and in-form Juventus. Two players, one from either side will be reuniting with the clubs that gave them their breakthrough in football.

Cristiano Ronaldo is returning Old Trafford, the ground where he made his name before world record move to Real Madrid. Paul Pogba will be facing the team that gave him the platform to blossom and sell his craft to the world.

Sitting top on Group G is Italian Juventus who have had their best to start to a season in their history with 25 points from 9 games.

This is partly due to Ronaldo’s contribution of 5 goals and an assist for the Old Ladies.

The Portuguese has also scored five goals and provided two assists in his six Champions League games against sides he's previously played for. This includes a goal in both of his appearances against United in the competition. Manchester United are second on Group E with 2 points adrift of the leaders.

Jose Mourinho is expecting a response from his side after they gave away 2-1 lead against his former side, Chelsea over the weekend.

"I told the players we have to keep that happiness, pride and confidence in the way we played. But on the other side, use the anger to motivate ourselves to play a big match.

"United's form was shown in the past two matches. The way we can play, and the way we want to play was shown in the last two matches, so we will try to [play that way again]." Anthony Martial has been key to United’s resurgence, scoring three goals in his last two games and tonight is another test for him to prove that he has arrived.
