Member of Parliament for Asawase, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka says slain journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale who was a staunch Muslim, knew he would not return home alive the day he was killed.

According to him, the Quran teaches that everybody, no matter the calibre and position you hold in society will someday die.

“As Muslims we do not fear death, because every single Muslim awaits death,” he said.

The Minority Chief Whip added that, the holy Quran teaches that every muslim must live as though, it was his last day on earth, so he has confident that Ahmed as a true Muslim did not expect to come back home alive on that faithful day.

“When we leave our homes, it is not our expectations to come back home alive, so those who are cowards and think that they have ended the life of Ahmed and they are jubilating, Ahmed is a true Muslim,” he said.

According to him, the world has gotten all its change through the sacrifice of people’s life, therefore Ahmed died for a good course.

“We at the minority are sadden by this death and we entreat the government and the security agency to find the perpetrators of his death,” he said.

Alhaji said, the death of Ahmed must not be added to the several numbers of slain journalists across the world.

“His death should not be added to the statistics of journalist killed around the world, bring the killers to book.”
