Self-acclaimed security analyst, Irbard Ibrahim, has become an object of scorn to Christian faithful on social media who have attacked him for questioning Israeli televangelist Benny Hinn's declaration of Ghana as a Christian state.

At Day 7 of the 2019 edition of the Experience Conference currently going on in Ghana at the Maker’s House Chapel International, the televangelist declared Ghana a "Holy Ghost, Christian nation" and prayed for President Nana Akufo-Addo.

“Lord, I declare Ghana belongs to you. I declare Ghana belongs to Jesus the son of the almighty God. I declare Ghana to be a Christian nation and remain a Christian nation,” he prayed.

In a quick response on Facebook in what he calls ‘My 10th Address to the Nation’, Irbard Ibrahim noted that Ghana has cheapened her sovereignty as a nation to allow Pastor Hinn to denigrate the country and its constitution.

"In what capacity does he declare Ghana a Christian nation, isn’t that an upfront to our constitution… why have we cheapened our sovereignty as a country?" he questioned.

"Why for the love of my life should we allow foreigners come here and make unguarded statements the like of which we can’t even imagine making in their own countries? He described Nigeria’s Muslim leaders as ‘evil powers’ and that the influence of Islam in Nigeria will crash in two years. Jesus the Son of Mary whom we all hold in high esteem came to build and not destroy. Why Africa? It’s sad to be a son of this disrespected soil," he added in a series of Facebook posts that generated a lot of negative reactions.

Although the Constitution depicts Ghana as a secular state, below are some of the reactions of Ghanaians to Irbard's post.
