New Sporting Director Roy Arthur eyes success with Ashantigold SC

Roy Arthur has set sights on achieving success with Ashanti Gold SC after being appointed as the new Sporting Director of the club.

On Thursday, the ex-B.A United Chief Executive Officer was named the new Sporting Director by the President of the club Dr. Kwaku Frimpong.

Roy Arthur says it's a privilege to work with the former Ghana Premier League champions and he is confident of achieving more success with the club.

"It's a privilege to have this opportunity to join Ashgold as the Sporting Director. I think it’s great. Looking forward to this new giant challenge,' he told Atinka FM.

"I hope to help the team achieve more success in the future."

Following the resignation of Fredrick Acheampong last week, the club has made changes in its leadership positions.

Dr. Frimpong named his son, Emmanuel Frimpong as the new Chief Executive Officer of the club, Seth Boakye Agyemang is the new Administrative manager with Gibrine Musah as the Operations Manager.

Daniel Bioh maintains his position as Media Officer of the club.

Before the 2019/20 league was suspended, Ashgold were 5th on the league table with 25 points, just three points adrift leaders Aduana Stars
