Hundreds of NDC party supporters at Aboso in the Western Region ambushed the Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, on Tuesday night when he passed through to attend a rally at Tarkwa.

The incident occurred during his first visit as part of his four-day campaign visit to the Western Region.

After news of the Vice President's visit to the area broke, the party supporters trouped in their numbers to welcome the NDC running mate.

According to the supporters, they wanted him to know that ‘Ye Wor Krom’ and that they appreciated the numerous infrastructure developments constructed in the area.

The supporters, who wore T-shirts that had the NDC colours and other party paraphernalia, danced and sang to welcome the running mate of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Interestingly, Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur who believes in the 'touching base agenda', took notice of the party supporters and stopped to address them. He explained to them why they needed to vote again for President Mahama for continuity.

The Vice President, in his address, called on them to give President Mahama another term for continuity and the need to encourage other people to vote for the NDC because it’s a party for the people and it’s a development oriented party.

He said "continuity is key so the need for them to go house to house, window to window and spread the good massage to their people in order for President Mahama to win and continue his good works."
