Agya Koo’s record in the movie industry is unprecedented – Kwaku Manu

Ghanaian comedian and actor, Kwaku Manu has stated that his colleague actor, Alex Kofi Adu popularly known as Agya Koo has contributed immensely towards building a strong foundation for the Ghanaian movie industry.

Speaking on Kasapa Entertainment’s ‘Pae Mu Ka’ segment he affirmed “Agya Koo is very relevant, the record he’s set for the Movie industry is unmatched, from English and Twi. During his heydays he was the most sort for actor by producers because he was a hot cake. Producers used to meet Agya Koo on his return to Ghana from abroad to make appointments with him but you can’t say his season is past now, still Agya Koo’s talent is unique and for a good director who make use of his talent you can’t miss your target.

“But some of the Directors don’t learn because they think because they’ve nurtured new talents so they do away with the old talents but Rambo and Commando still do movies….”

According to Manu, if movies that he featured in are not yet out, it doesn’t mean he is no more vibrant in the industry.

When asked by the host if his colleague actor, Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win is giving him a stiff competition in the industry, the comic actor disclosed that there is no competition between them such that their talents varies on all acting scenes. He added that God is the possessor of his acting career and not man.

‘Pae Mu Ka’ is a new segment on Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa 102.5FM, it seeks to delve into the real life situations of Ghanaian celebrities. Kasapa Entertainment is hosted by Radio and Television Award nominee, Kojo Preko Dankwa every Saturday from 2pm to 4pm.
