Ho, Sept. 19, GNA - The Asogli Yam festival street carnival scheduled for Ho on Friday September 26, is expected to draw the youth out of their homes to listen to talks by traditional leaders, health educators and other counsellors.
The management of Kasapreko Company, a Ghanaian liquor producing company is sponsoring the jam at a cost of 8,000 Ghana cedis. Mr Andrews Akolaa, Company Marketing and Public Relations Manager said its support was in line with Kasapreko's social responsibility to promote national cohesion through cultural activities. He announced this when presenting 10 cartons of Kasepreko brands of liquor and 100 T-shirts, printed with logos of Kasapreko products and a cheque for 1,000 Ghana cedis to Asogli Traditional Council to support the festival, this year.
Performers on the bill for the carnival include Ex-Doe, Wutah, Tinny, A-Squad and Kichen.
Mr Akolaa said Kasapreko's association with the festival was to help package the entertainment aspect to benefit the youth. Management of Coca Cola Company also presented 20 crates of assorted soft drinks, four cartons of mineral water and four cartons of energy drinks to the council.
Mr Samuel Turkson, Area Sales Manager who presented the items pledged 200 Ghana cedis and said Coca Cola was pleased to be associated with the festival. Mr David Bansah, Vice-Chairman of Festival Planning Committee received the items on behalf of the council.
