Scores of New Patriotic Party supporters in Kumasi have besieged the Central Police Station over an alleged interception of thumb-printed ballot papers at a hotel in the Ashanti Region.
A team of police personnel and some executives of the NPP led by the Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, were said to have at this dawn seized the said materials from a hotel at place called TUC.
The said thumb-printed ballots are currently in the custody of the Central Police Command.
A picture of one of the presidential ballot papers leaked by the Police has President John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress thumb-printed with what appears to be violet ink.
The Ashanti Regional Director of the Electoral Commission, Mr Serebour Quaicoo, has arrived at the Police station to verify whether the materials are original or fake.
